Something New.

It's been a while. I know. I really need to make a habit to blog often but sometimes, I just don't have much to say. It's not like how it used to be back in the day when I can xanga all day, everyday and have some cool story to tell. Honestly, I'm just a little burnt out. Brain fried. You know, the thing that you get from getting too much education in your system...?? haha.

Anyways, the wedding that I went to was.... 3 weeks ago? haha. But it was beautiful. Pictures are up on Facebook.... but I'm sure you've seen them anyways. [i looked like a barbie] Minnesota was so fun. I missed it so much, I didn't want to come back. [sigh] I haven't cried like that since I was 5 years old. haha.

Anyways, I'm enjoying the new friends at school. They're really fun. :) Even tho my attitude is: "Just do your THANG and GET OUT", I really hope these relationships I get from this experience will be a lifetime friendship because they are really good people.

Family weekend:

The family arrived on friday night, left Monday evening. [sigh] It's good having close family around and finally being able to do something family-ish around here. We had a great time [exhaugsting time] walking around the Hmong Festival in town, stayed up karyokeing [ Pieces of Me by Ashley Simpson we KILLED it. LOL], playing Apples to Apples, card games, laughing and just having a good ol' time. It definately flew on right by without knowing. Aren't good times always like that?

I'm a Dreamer:
Last night, I had a dream that I met someone I fell in love with. He was tall, sophisticated, and very mysterious. We both knew better but when the moment came, we took it and ran. It gave me butterflies. It all started at an unexpected place. We both knew each other, we didn't talk but one day, we were at the same place at the same time. We were both awkward but as the time grew longer the attraction between us couldn't be avoided anymore. We kissed. And it was one of those "I know I'm not supposed to do this but some how I can't help it" and while he moved in closer, sparks flew and when we kissed, it was electricfying. Litterally. I felt electricity flow between us, on our lips and it drew me in more. When that happened, it just felt right, like a sigh of relief. From that moment on, it was hard to avoid him bc for some reason I know I shouldn't be with him. I was scared bc I was still with TMY and I couldn't face him in case he could sense something in my voice or my face that something happened. I avoided them both but secretly wanted to bump into Mr. Mystery. Oh then I woke up and it was the worse feeling in the world bc I desperately wanted to know what happened next. Aren't I so bad?

Beauty Days:

Tomorrow, we have our models come in. Our first haircut. Wish me luck!

Fashion Magazines.

Today's theme: Fashion magazine. :)

The Plan:
Me: Mo, you need to bring you graphic tees, pencil skirts, tights, cardigans, blouses, jackets, leggings, denim skirts, knee high boots... just bring EVERYTHING in your closet.
Mo: I might be kinda late bc I'm putting outfits together...
Me: Just come. BRING EVERYTHING. we'll put everything together here.

Anyways, this is my 2nd week of HAIRCUTTING!!! :)

Fading Summer Days.

It's getting colder.

I just got an exciting email from my best girlfriend about her wedding day preparations. :) I can't wait for her wedding and I can't wait to see how it turns out! Her and her fiance are the best match ever and I couldn't be more happier for her! It's been a long time coming, and it's so good to see the beginning of a new journey when I remember how they started. :) I hope all my girls are able work hard and find happiness like how she did. Best of luck HM! :) Love you!

Today, we learned how to do chemical relaxation. I'm excited to really work with the products and do this! I think this is probably one of the tensest parts of cosmetology school, being brave and working with chemicals! Oh man, If I did something wrong and that lady's hair falls out, I would just die! So it's crucial to know all that I can when it comes to anything to do with working on chemicals. I took so much notes today, but it isn't as hard as it looks, just a lot of cautions to be aware of. Next block is hair cutting. :) Getting all the hard stuff out of the way first... :) :) Pretty soon, I'll be needing models. Let me know if you're interested!!

If you could see me now...

First of all, the cosmetology field fits like a puzzle in my life. I feel so right, so comfortable pursuing this decision. I honestly hoping that this will be my something that will make me fly! I'm so blessed to have my friends, family and loved ones who are supportive of me and this new journey in life!

A lot of signs have been pointing me to pursue a career in Southern California. I have [will have, ;) Hnou] friends there, and there is a ton of opportunities working close to Hollywood, Beverly Hills, LA, and San Diego area. I mean, I don't have to be working on the set, or working with celebs but, just being around that area where there are people who actually care about looking glamorous everyday, can bring in the big bucks!! :) Wishful thinking...

Today, I learned how to do finger waves. Let's say, it's harder than it looks! Creating TRUE finger waves, will all that ridges... oh man, you definitely need long fingers and finger muscles. I'm definitely making Friday nights my practice nights... PLEASE COME OVER! :)

I'm exhausted today.

Beauty School Day 2

Today, we learned how to use the Marcel curling iron. It has a longer handle and no tip so you can't touch it or else you'll get burned. Come over so I can practice! I need to practice how to hold it. It's not like an everyday curler, unless you use a Marcel everyday, but it's still very awkward to me. We also learned how to wrap hair [above image]! It's the coolest thing ever! Of course you can do it to anytype of hair, not just ethnic hair... :) Tomorrow, we're going to comb it out. Supposely it's going to come out with a really nice wave. I can't wait to see it!




First: My kit with a TON of stuff. It even comes with a luggage so I can haul all my stuff with me to school everyday. It's HEAVY! but the teachers are nice to tell us what we need to bring to class everyday. :)
Second: My apron and my name tag! I'm so proud! At Empire, it's very professional there. We can only wear black pants, black closed toe shoes, and white and/or black tops.



These are my new friends (the name I gave them [the name they came with]): first to last: Jada [Destiny], Alena [Tiffany], i don't have a name for the megan fox look a like yet [Angel], Eden [i forgot], and Noah [Kyle].

Jada has short "ethnic" hair, Alena has short thin hair that has a small wave [ we used her to do our wrap today!], green-eyed beauty has long straight thick brunette hair [I'm gonna turn her Asian], Eden has long straight red hair and Noah has long brunette hair and beard. I'm so excited to experiment on them!

Help me find a name for my green-eyed, Megan Fox look-a-like! She's exotic. RAWR!
